Metallica have added a show in Singapore to their January 2017 dates in Asia as they tour in support of their tenth album, “Hardwired…To Self Destruct”
“Greetings from Latin America and the first leg of many World Wired tour dates to come over the next few years!,” says the band. “As you may have already seen, we are kicking off 2017 with a visit to our friends in Asia and we’re psyched that the latest addition to that run of the tour is Singapore at the Singapore Indoor Stadium on January 22, 2017.
“Tickets will be on sale Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at 10:00am through Sportshub Tix at Sportshubtix.sg, at the box office at Singapore Indoor Stadium at 2 Stadium Walk, or all SingPost outlets. The ticketing hotline is +65 3158 8588.
“The evening promises to be very special as it will be just our third visit to the city and the final show of our mini-tour of the region. So there’s your small hint that there are more dates to come between this one and the opening night in Seoul! Keep watching…”
Metallica – who launched the World Wired tour in San Juan, Puerto Rico on October 26 – will begin 2017 in Asia with a show at the Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul, South Korea on January 11 and the group’s first-ever concert in Hong Kong on January 20.
The group previously revealed plans to perform six shows in Asia and, with news of the Singapore concert, that leaves three more dates to be announced.
Due November 18, the two-disc “Hardwired…To Self Destruct” was produced by Greg Fidelman, guitarist James Hetfield and drummer Lars Ulrich.
