Guns N’ Roses: Slash claims marriage to Perla Ferrar was not legal

Guns N’ Roses guitarist Slash (aka Saul Hudson) claims his marriage to Perla Ferrar was not legal because she was still technically wed to another man, according to an update on the couple’s divorce case by gossip site TMZ.

The British-born rocker and Perla tied the knot in Hawaii in 2001 after her previous one-month marriage to Carlos Marty ended in 1993.

The music couple had two children: London in 2002 and Cash in 2004.

The Hudsons discovered years later that Ferrar’s divorce to Marty was not finalized properly when the pair applied for US/UK dual citizenship for their son Cash.

Perla claims the couple hired a lawyer in 2009 and had a judge finalize her divorce from Marty retroactive to 1994.

Slash filed for divorce from Ferrar in August of 2010, but the couple reconciled two months later; the guitarist again filed for divorce from her in December of 2014.

Slash is seeking to limit Ferrar’s access to his estate as they work through their current divorce settlement.

The guitarist is currently playing dates with Guns N’ Roses in South America on the band’s Not In This Lifetime tour.

The month-long run will be followed in 2017 with shows in Japan, New Zealand and Australia.
