AUDIO: Green Day perform on The Howard Stern Show
Green Day performed a selection of classics and material from their forthcoming set, “Revolution Radio”, on The Howard Stern Show on SiriusXM on October 5, and official audio from the program is available.
Mixed in with an interview promoting the October 7 release of their 12th album, the Bay Area band performed “Bang Bang” and the title track to the new record alongside “Holiday” and “Boulevard Of Broken Dreams” from 2004’s “American Idiot”, as well as “Welcome To Paradise” - which appeared on 1992’s “Kerplunk!” and 1994’s “Dookie.”
Green Day is spending much of this week in New York City doing media interviews and events in support of “Revolution Radio”, including an October 6 appearance on NBC-TV’s The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, an in store concert at Rough Trade NYC on October 7 and a full show at Webster Hall on October 8 – part of the group’s current North American club tour.
Recorded at frontman Billie Joe Armstrong’s new studio in Oakland, CA, the project was previewed with the lead single, “Bang Bang”, the title track, and the latest single, “Still Breathing.”
