Metallica have announced dates for a fall tour of Latin America in support of their forthcoming album, “Hardwired…To Self Destruct.”
The five-show run will begin in San Juan, Puerto Rico on October 26.
“It’s on!!!,” says the band. “As we put the finishing touches on Hardwired…To Self-Destruct we’re also getting ready to hit the road for the first of many headlining shows around the world.
“To kick it all off we’re returning to five cities we know will absolutely rock hard with all kinds of crazy Metalli-love and get this tour started right! First up we travel to Latin America with stops in Puerto Rico, Ecuador, Colombia, Guatemala and Costa Rica.
“We can’t think of a better place to get the juices flowing and set the table for many more shows to come! We are beyond excited to get out there, visit all of you and test out some of the new songs live.”

General public tickets will go on sale September 10 at 10:00 AM for shows in Puerto Rico, Ecuador and Guatemala; September 18 at 10:00 AM for the stop in Colombia; and, September 22 at 10:00 AM for the Costa Rica concert.
Due November 18, the two-disc “Hardwired…To Self Destruct” was produced by Greg Fidelman, guitarist James Hetfield and drummer Lars Ulrich.
The project has been previewed with the lead track “Hardwired.”
