Alter Bridge have issued a new video revealing the inspiration for “Show Me A Leader”, the lead single from their forthcoming album, “The Last Hero.”
"Lyrically," explains singer Myles Kennedy, "it reflects the frustrations that a lot of people are feeling with the current state of things."
“I threw out that ‘show me a leader’ line and Myles ran with it lyrically,” adds guitarist Mark Tremonti. “I think it’s really good for this time and this climate in the world right now, with all the chaos, and all the circus that is politics.”
Due October 7, “The Last Hero” was recorded earlier this year with longtime producer Michael 'Elvis' Baskette.
Alter Bridge will launch a series of US headline dates in support of the project in Destin, FL on September 22, which will wrap up just prior to the release of their fifth album.
The band’s last record, 2013’s “Fortress”, debuted at No. 12 on the US Billboard 200 chart following first week sales of 30,000.
