Steven Tyler’s first solo album, “We're All Somebody From Somewhere”, has debuted atop the US country music charts.
Billboard reports the Aerosmith singer’s project enters Billboard's Top Country Albums chart at No. 1, while starting at No. 19 on the Billboard 200 with opening week sales of 18,000 equivalent album units.
Tyler co-produced the record in Nashville, TN with roots master T Bone Burnett, Dann Huff, Jaren Johnston and Marti Frederikson.
The set feature 15 new songs including the rocker’s first two country singles, "Love Is Your Name" and "Red, White And You," as well as an all new, "darker, countrified" version of the Aerosmith smash "Janie's Got A Gun."
Tyler is currently on the road across North America supported by the Nashville-based band Loving Mary for his first solo tour, “Out On A Limb”, which started in Las Vegas earlier this month.
The intimate theatre shows see the singer rework Aerosmith classics and tell stories behind some of the band's most beloved hits.
