Twisted Sister perform their 1983 classic, “You Can’t Stop Rock ‘n’ Roll”, in the latest preview to the forthcoming live package, “Metal Meltdown.”
The tune first appeared as the title track to the band’s second album; which went on to earn Gold status in the US for sales of 500,000 copies while the single charted in both the UK and Ireland.
Due July 22, “Metal Meltdown - Featuring Twisted Sister Live At The Hard Rock Casino - Las Vegas” presents the group’s complete concert, as well as Rockshow, a bonus documentary that takes fans through the band's 40-year career.
The performance captures the live debut of drummer Mike Portnoy with the group after he was brought in following the passing of A.J. Pero two months earlier at the age of 55 from a heart attack while playing on tour with Adrenaline Mob.
“Metal Meltdown - Featuring Twisted Sister Live At The Hard Rock Casino - Las Vegas” will be available on BluRay, DVD and CD.
Directed by Brian Lockwood (Bon Jovi, Metallica, Motley Crue), the May 30, 2015 concert with Twisted Sister, Extreme, Great White and Skid Row marked the first event in the Metal Meltdown concert series.
Twisted Sister will wrap up their live career this year with a series of appearances at rock and metal festivals in Europe and Canada this summer.
