Two brief audio clips of what appears to be Axl Rose rehearsing with AC/DC in Lisbon, Portugal ahead of the start of the band’s European tour in the city on May 7 have surfaced online.
Rose and the group playing “Thunderstruck” and “Shoot To Thrill” were reportedly captured by fans outside a rehearsal facility.
On April 16, AC/DC confirmed Rose would step in to replace Brian Johnson for the band’s remaining 2016 shows on the “Rock Or Bust” tour just hours before Angus Young joined Guns N’ Roses for a pair of AC/DC classics during their headlining set at Coachella.
In March, AC/DC postponed the remaining 10 shows on their spring US tour following word that Johnson had been advised by doctors to stop touring immediately or risk total hearing loss.
Following the band’s news regarding Rose’s involvement, Johnson issued his own statement regarding his status with the group while confirming the severity of his health issue.
Rose will perform 12 shows with AC/DC in Europe to mid-June before rejoining Guns N’ Roses for their summer stadium tour of North America.
AC/DC announced they will reschedule the postponed 10 US dates with Rose fronting the group.
