AC/DC singer Brian Johnson to meet with in-ear monitor inventor

The inventor of in-ear monitors, Asius Technologies founder Stephen Ambrose, says he will meet with AC/DC singer Brian Johnson next week to review his latest upgrade to the technology that may help the rocker return to the live stage one day.

Ambrose recently posted a video message with an offer to assist Johnson over the hearing issues that sidelined him from the band’s 2016 tour lineup in March, when AC/DC postponed the remaining 10 shows on their spring US tour after the singer was advised by doctors to stop touring immediately or risk total hearing loss.

“This is an open message to Brian Johnson of AC/DC: please don’t stop performing – help is on the way,” said Ambrose in the video. “Brian, I introduced Guns N” Roses to in-ear monitors in 1990 and I’m a big fan of Axl Rose’s voice, But let’s be clear: I’m with Roger Daltrey on this – I really can’t imagine anyone but you singing ‘Back In Black’, or any other part of the show for that matter.

“Nobody should have to go deaf performing on stage, driving race cars or simply listening to their phone, so my life’s work has been dedicated to solving this.”

Now, Ambrose says the pair have spoken and plan to connect in person.

“Happily, due to everyone's tremendous support, Brian and I spoke yesterday!,” posted Ambrose. “What a gracious man; He and his wife Brenda invited me to visit them next week. If anyone deserves to benefit from my research - it's Brian - who has been giving incomparable performances for years despite increasing hearing loss.

“I'm going to do my utmost to see if our new hearing breakthroughs can help him, and if I am at all successful, I'm sure Brian will let everyone know; he really cares about people and would like to help. I am truly humbled and honored to meet this man, and I wish to sincerely thank everyone who helped. Fingers crossed; please pray for our success next week.”

Ambrose created the ADEL (Ambrose Diaphonic Ear Lens) technology to solve the 77% increase in hearing loss recently attributed to all personal listening devices. By utilizing a revolutionary second ear drum to take the pounding, ADEL technology absorbs the harmful pneumatic sound pressures caused by all personal listening devices and provides a much safer and higher fidelity listening experience for everyone.

Axl Rose approached AC/DC with an offer to help the band in Johnson’s absence, and the Guns N’ Roses leader made his debut with the Australian rockers in Lisbon, Portugal on May 7 to rave reviews worldwide.

Rose is on board for AC/DC’s 12-date European spring tour and is expected to rejoin the band sometime later this year for the to-be-rescheduled US Rock Or Bust dates.
