ZZ Top have postponed three US dates on their current North American tour following an injury to bassist Dusty Hill.
“Hill suffered a dislocated shoulder Thursday night at the Lone Star Events Center Amphitheater in Lubbock, TX,” says the band. “The injury forced the postponement of that concert until a date in the future, to be announced.”
The injury also caused the postponement of the group’s April 15 concert at The Firelake Arena in Shawnee, OK and an April 16 show at Chilifest in Snook, TX.
Details regarding rescheduling and future ZZ Top performance dates are expected in the near future.
The Texas trio launched the 2016 Hell Raisers Tour last month, with shows scheduled into early May.
The band recently announced a summer co-headlining US tour with Gregg Allman that will see the pairing team up for concerts beginning August 16 in Huber Heights, OH, with dates wrapping up early October.
ZZ Top’s latest studio album is 2012’s “La Futura.”
Last fall, guitarist Billy Gibbons issued his debut solo album, “Perfectamundo.”
The Cuban music-inspired record sees the ZZ Top bluesman joined by a handpicked group of musicians dubbed The BFG’s.
