Former Motley Crue singer Vince Neil has been charged with misdemeanor battery following an alleged incident in Las Vegas, NV on April 7.
Local police tell TMZ Neil and Nicolas Cage were inside the Aria Hotel around 5 PM when a woman approached the actor for an autograph. Neil allegedly got behind the woman, grabbed her by the hair and pulled her to the ground.
Cage reportedly brought the rocker outside of the hotel to diffuse the incident, and the pair can be seen on video in a heated argument with the actor screaming at Neil to calm down.
The singer was cited for misdemeanor battery in the incident with the unidentified woman and is scheduled to appear in court on June 17.
Neil could face a maximum sentence of six months in jail if convicted, according to local police.
Motley Crue wrapped up their farewell tour at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on New Year’s Eve, bringing an end to the group’s 35-year career.
Neil has been filming his appearances on NBC’TV’s new season of The Celebrity Apprentice, which returns to NBC this fall with new host Arnold Schwarzenegger since the network parted ways with Donald Trump last June.
The rocker recently revealed that he will play 70 shows this year, with dates starting later this month.
