KISS: Paul Stanley recovering from surgery

KISS frontman Paul Stanley is recovering following surgery to repair a torn tendon in his bicep.

The rocker shared the news via his social media sites, saying “Tore my bicep tendon. Surgery reattached it with a screw and stitches to anchor in place. Not much I can do now!”

Stanley says he’ll be fully recovered in time for the band’s newly-announced Freedom To Rock US tour, which will see KISS play 36 shows across the country starting July 7 in Boise, ID.

“Thanks to my amazing doctor I will be great & ready to rock waaaayyyy before the tour!,” he adds. “Can’t wait!”

The Freeedom To Rock trek includes four cities the group have never played before and more than two dozen that they have missed on tours in the past decade.

KISS will be joined by American Idol Season 13 winner Caleb Johnson for dates between July 7 and August 10, while supergroup The Dead Daisies will be on board for shows from August 10 to September 10.
