Jane’s Addiction will mark the 25th Anniversary of their 1990 album, “Ritual de lo Habitual”, with a newly-announced Sterling Spoon Anniversary Tour.
The 6-date run in July with Dinosaur Jr. and Living Colour serves as a tribute to the early years of Lollapalooza ahead of the band’s July 30 headline set at the festival's 25th Anniversary event in Chicago, IL this summer.
The trek kicks off on July 15 in Brooklyn, NY as part of the opening of the new Coney Island Amphitheatre.
Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. local time on Friday, April 15 through Ticketmaster.
The follow-up to their 1988 studio debut, “Nothing’s Shocking”, “Ritual de lo Habitual” saw Jane’s Addiction embrace their psychedelic and progressive sides with tracks like “Three Days” and “Then She Did…” while singles like “Stop!” and “Been Caught Stealing” helped propel to the album to triple-platinum status in the US.
The 2016 summer shows will see Jane’s Addiction perform songs spanning their entire catalog, with a special nod to “Ritual de lo Habitual” within each show’s setlist.
The group has been on hiatus for the past few years; their latest album is 2011’s “The Great Escape Artist.”
