Alice In Chains to join Guns N’ Roses for reunion tour launch
Guns N’ Roses have announced that Alice In Chains will join them as openers for the launch of their reunion tour in Las Vegas next month.
The Seattle band will be on hand for the sold-out April 8 & 9 dates at the T-Mobile Arena, the first pair of shows featuring the reunited trio of Axl Rose, Slash and Duff McKagan.
The concerts will mark the first time the three have performed together since a July 17, 1993 date at River Plate Stadium in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
The partially-reunited Guns N’ Roses will follow the Las Vegas shows with a pair of concerts in Mexico City and at Coachella next month.
While there’s been no further information from the band’s camp regarding additional players to round out the lineup, guitarist Izzy Stradlin surfaced this past week to confirm that he will not be joining the group.
"At this point in time, I will not be playing at any of the April 2016 GNR shows," revealed Stradlin.
