Steven Tyler stars in a Super Bowl commercial for Skittles and the candy company is sharing a first look at the ad ahead of the February 7 event.
Adweek reports the commercial, which will air during the second quarter, was inspired by the apparent trend of Skittles fans making things (pictures, recipes, stop-motion films, etc.) out of the rainbow-colored candies.
The ad shows Tyler checking out a portrait of himself made of Skittles – and he's not too thrilled.
The commercial is part of Skittles' "Root For The Rainbow" Super Bowl 50 campaign, which includes the company giving away 100,000 free packs of Skittles to fans if a rainbow appears over the game in San Francisco on Sunday.
Use the the hashtags #SkittlesRainbow and #Contest prior to kickoff to qualify for the goodies.
The candy maker recently created "a custom, one-of-a-kind Skittles covered microphone for Steven" as a thanks for his work in the commercial.
Tyler recently debuted a new song, “Red White And You”, as the second single from his upcoming debut solo album; the tune follows the release of “Love Is Your Name” last spring.
The full album is expected this year.
