Megadeth launched their North American tour in support of “Dystopia” in Dallas at the South Side Ballroom on February 20, and video from opening night has surfaced.
The band delivered a 16-song set heavy on classic tracks while playing only one song, "Fatal Illusion", from their 15th studio release.
The Dallas show marked the US live debut of new guitarist Kiko Loureiro and guest drummer Chris Adler from Lamb Of God in the lineup following the fall 2014 departure of Chris Broderick and Shawn Drover.
“Dystopia” recently landed a No.3 debut on the US Billboard 200 with opening week sales of 49,000 equivalent album units.
The feat marks the group’s highest-charting US album since 1992’s “Countdown To Extinction”, which debuted and peaked at No. 2.
Megadeth’s 6-week tour with guests Suicidal Tendencies, Children Of Bodom and Havok wraps up in Quebec City on March 24.
