Guns N’ Roses exhibit to open at Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame
A new Guns N’ Roses exhibit is set to open at the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame in Cleveland later this month.
In sync with the band’s semi-reunion this year – which currently features Axl Rose, Slash and Duff McKagan – the Rock Hall will feature the 2012 Inductees in its Legends of Rock exhibit that will open on Friday, February 26.
Among the items on display will be a Guns N’ Roses pinball machine owned by Slash; a black top hat with a brim that curls at edges worn by Slash; a button down madras plaid shirt with cut off sleeves worn by Axl Rose; a black Colorado Rockies short-sleeved jersey worn by Dizzy Reed; a prototype Slash guitar (a 1986 Les Paul replica, handmade by Kris Derrig); and black leather Converse high-top sneakers worn by Slash.
“We are thrilled to add Guns N’ Roses to our Legends of Rock exhibition,” says Rock and Roll Hall of Fame President & CEO Greg Harris. “Their legacy and impact is remarkable and we are excited to share these items with fans during this historic reunion year.
"Slash is incredibly supportive of the Rock Hall, and by donating his Les Paul and pinball machine, he helped made this exhibit possible.”
The Rock Hall will launch the exhibit with a special Guns N' Roses-themed evening on February 17 – event details are available at rockhall.com
The partially-reunited group will launch a reunion tour tour with two shows in Las Vegas in April, a Mexico City concert and two headline spots at Coachella later the same month.
The 2016 shows will mark the first time the trio have performed together since a July 17, 1993 date at River Plate Stadium in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
