Motorhead: Ace Of Spades returns to UK charts

Motorhead’s 1980 classic “Ace of Spades” has returned to the UK singles charts following the recent passing of leader Lemmy Kilmister.

According to the Official Charts Company, “Ace Of Spades” has re-entered the chart at No. 13 to reach a new all-time peak.

The track reached No. 15 upon its release in 1980, and last entered the Top 40 22 years ago, hitting Number 23 when it was re-issued in September 1993.

Lemmy passed away from an aggressive form of cancer at his Los Angeles home on December 28, just four days after his 70th birthday and wo days after he received word of his health diagnosis.

Family, friends and fellow rockers paid tribute to the late Motorhead legend at a memorial service in Hollywood on Saturday that was streamed live to more than 250,000 viewers worldwide via the band’s YouTube channel.
