Megadeth will offer fans a virtual reality experience with content from their forthcoming album “Dystopia.”
The band are teaming up with Next Galaxy Corp. and director Blair Underwood (“The Bridge To Nowhere”) to perform and film five songs from the project within a virtual fallen city modelled after images in the video for the track "The Threat Is Real.”
The footage will provide fans with the opportunity to virtually enter, engage and explore this parallel world with the help of “Dystopia”, a CEEK Virtual Reality cardbox headset and a download code to access and unlock the exclusive content.
Due January 22, the special “Dystopia” CD package will be available at all physical and online retailers.
Megadeth recorded their 15th studio effort in Nashville, TN earlier this year.
The band will launch a 2016 North American tour with guests Suicidal Tendencies, Children Of Bodom and Havok on February 20 in Dallas, TX.
