Cheap Trick are celebrating news of their induction into the 2016 Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame by offering fans a free download of “No Direction Home”, the lead single from their forthcoming album “Bang Zoom Crazy…Hello.”
The Rockford, IL band will enter the Hall during an April 8 ceremony at New York’s Barclays Center alongside Deep Purple, Steve Miller, Chicago and N.W.A.
The principal lineup of guitarist Rick Neilsen, vocalist Robin Zander, bassist Tom Petersson and drummer Bun E. Carlos will enter the Hall, while Carlos was removed from the touring lineup in 2010 and replaced by Neilsen’s son Daxx.
“We have the best fans,” says the group. “We’re giving away a new track to say thank you!”
The free download of "No Direction Home" is available with email signup at Big Machine Label Group here.
Due April 1, “Bang Zoom Crazy…Hello” marks Cheap Trick’s signing and first release with Nashville-based Big Machine Label Group, home to artists such as Steven Tyler, Taylor Swift and Tim McGraw.
Produced by Julian Raymond, the project is the band's 17th studio set and their first in five years and will be supported with a major North American tour in 2016.
