Green Day are streaming a new single, “Xmas Time Of The Year.”
“Happy Holidays from Green Day!” said the band as they offered up their first new music since the 2014 Record Store Day release “State Of Shock" from “Demolicious.”
In October, the group premiered the documentary “Heart Like A Hand Grenade” in US theaters.
Directed by John Roecker, the project tracks the recording of the band’s 2004 album, “American Idiot.”
Green Day were inducted into 2015 Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame in 2015 and are working on the follow-up to the 2012 trilogy “Uno”, “Dos” and “Tre.”
“I've got, like, four or five songs right now,” said frontman Billie Joe Armstrong earlier this year. “I'm gonna take it really slow. I'm just gonna make sure every moment is inspired and that we have something that's really special to us.
"And right now with the songs that we have, it's going in the right direction.”
