Van Halen closed out their 2015 North American tour with two shows at the Hollywood Bowl over the weekend.
The 3-month run in support their latest release, “Tokyo Dome Live In Concert”, kicked off in Seattle on July 5 with a set that mixed rarities and classics – including a pair of live debuts.
The band performed “Light Up The Sky” from 1979’s “Van Halen II” and the “Women And Children First” tune “In A Simple Rhyme” in the show for the first time in 35 years, and 1978’s “Feel Your Love Tonight” was played for the first time since 1998.
The 2015 setlist also delivered the live debuts of the “Fair Warning” track “Dirty Movies” and the “1984” album cut, “Drop Dead Legs.”
Van Halen played the Hollywood Bowl for the first time on October 2 and delivered the 2015 tour finale on October 4.
“Last night was the perfect ending to the tour. Thanks so much, everyone,” tweeted bassist Wolfgang Van Halen after Sunday’s show. “What an amazing time these last few months have been. I won't ever forget it. Thank you.”
“Tokyo Dome Live In Concert” features a 25-song set of material from the band’s original, classic era and 2012’s “A Different Kind Of Truth”, the group’s first studio album with David Lee Roth in almost 30 years.
