The Beatles issue restored video for A Day In The Life

The Beatles have issued a restored video for “A Day In The Life” as a preview to the November 6 release of an expanded edition of their compilation, “1.”

The revamped edition of the group’s 2001 collection of 27 number one hits has been remixed and expanded with companion videos and unreleased promotional footage.

“These videos and films are spectacular reminders of the era we lived in,” says Paul McCartney. “They also rock!”

The package will be available in multiple editions, including “1” with one bonus disc of video, as well as “1+”, issued in deluxe CD/2-DVD and CD/2-Blu-ray packages along with a 124-page book; the videos will also come out as stand-alone DVD and Blu-ray editions.

A 2 LP, 180-gram vinyl package will follow at a later date.

The original “1” compilation debuted at No. 1 on the US Billboard 200 opening week sales of 595,000 copies.

The collection was the best-selling release of the 2000-2009 decade in both the US and worldwide, with sales of more than 31 million copies.
