Def Leppard have issued the track, “Dangerous”, as the second single from their forthcoming self-titled album.
“Dangerous” follows the lead single, “Let’s Go”, as the group prepare for the October 30 release of the follow-up to 2008’s “Songs From The Sparkle Lounge.”
"Dangerous is a few years old and was initially titled Dangerous Drug until Joe Elliott suggested shortening the name,” guitarist Phil Collen tells Billboard. “I started it a few years ago; I think I had just been working with producer Mutt Lange on something.
"We copied it exactly. I redid the guitars, just a slightly different guitar sound. We didn't change anything musically at all."
“Def Leppard” was written and recorded over three sessions in the past 18 months.
The band wrap up an extensive North American tour with Styx and Tesla in Jacksonville, FL this weekend before heading to Japan and Australia for shows in November.
