Keith Richards was on hand at the Toronto International Film Festival on Thursday to host a press conference and premiere of the new documentary, “Under The Influence.”
Directed by Morgan Neville (20 Feet From Stardom, Best Of Enemies), the film is billed as “an unprecedented look into the sounds and influences of rock and roll icon Keith Richards” while following the guitarist during the recording of his new solo album, “Crosseyed Heart.”
“Under The Influence” visits many of the places that have inspired the Rolling Stones guitarist, including Chicago, Nashville and New York, with guest appearances from fellow artists including Tom Waits.
Following its world premeire in Toronto, the film will see its broadcast debut via Netflix on September 18 – the same day his first solo album in more than three decades, “Crosseyed Heart”, hits stores.
The record sees Richards reteam with drummer Steve Jordan and guitarist Waddy Wachtel alongside Stones backup singer Bernard Fowler, keyboardist Ivan Neville, singer Sarah Dash and a host of guests.
