The Rolling Stones will release “From The Vault: Live at the Tokyo Dome 1990” on DVD and Blu-ray on October 30.
The show from the band’s world tour in support of 1989’s “Steel Wheels” was one of 10 played at the Tokyo venue, which marked the first series of concerts the Stones ever performed in Japan.
The footage has been carefully restored and the sound has been newly-mixed by Bob Clearmountain for this first official release of the show.
“From The Vault: Live at the Tokyo Dome 1990” will be available as a 3-DVD and Blu-ray set, as well as a 4-LP+DVD package which will be issued on November 13.
The Japan concert marks the latest release in the Stones “From The Vault” series following “Brussels Affair (Live 1973)”, “Hampton Coliseum (Live 1981)”, “L.A. Forum (Live 1975)” and “Live At The Marquee (Live 1971).”
Guitarist Keith Richards recently confirmed the band has plans to regroup to record their first new album in a decade.
The follow-up to 2005’s “A Bigger Bang” would be the group’s second album in almost two decades.
