Motorhead will be honored by the Los Angeles City Council in celebration of their 40 year anniversary and the upcoming release of their new album, “Bad Magic.”
Council member José Huizar will be conducting the ceremony, which will take place on August 26 at 10 AM in the council chambers at city hall.
Due August 28, “Bad Magic” was recorded at NRG Studios in Los Angeles with long-time producer Cameron Webb.
The set includes a cover of The Rolling Stones classic, “Sympathy For The Devil”, as well as a guest appearance by Queen guitarist Brian May on another tune, “The Devil.”
Motorhead will launch a late summer/early fall tour of North America – with guests Saxon and Anthrax – in Riverside, CA on August 19.
