The Who are celebrating the release of “Live At Shea Stadium 1982” with a performance video of their 1971 classic, “Behind Blue Eyes”, from the package.
Now available on DVD, SD Blu-ray and digital formats, the set features the second show of the group’s two-night stand at New York’s Shea Stadium in the fall of 1982.
On the road in support of tenth album, “It’s Hard”, the trek was the last to feature Kenney Jones on drums.
The run was also billed as the band’s farewell tour, which wrapped up with two concerts at Toronto’s Maple Leaf Gardens – the second of which was broadcast live on radio and via pay-per-view.
The Who went on to tour again in 1989, 1996, 2000 and several times since.
The group played at the Glastonbury festival on Sunday as part of their 50th anniversary farewell tour, “The Who Hits 50!”, and wrap up a short series of European dates on June 29.
A fall North American run starts September 14 in San Diego, CA.
