Van Halen have been announced as one of the co-headliners for the 2015 edition of Atlanta’s Music Midtown festival.
The two-day event at the city’s Piedmont Park – running Friday, September 18 and Saturday, September 19 – will see the veteran hard rock band perform alongside fellow co-headliners Elton John, Sam Smith and Drake, as well as other rockers like Lenny Kravitz and Billy Idol.
"Every year, we strive to take the festival to a new level and this year is certainly no exception," says Peter Conlon, President of Live Nation Atlanta. "With the addition of a fourth stage and this year's stellar lineup, I think we have done it again!"
A Citi cardmembers presale begins Wednesday, June 24 at 10 a.m. EST through Friday, June 26 at 10 p.m. through Citi's Private Pass Program.
Tickets for the festival go on sale this Saturday, June 27 at 10 a.m. EST via musicmidtown.com, livenation.com or charge by phone at (800) 745-3000.

The Atlanta appearance lands in the middle of Van Halen’s summer tour of North America in support of “Tokyo Dome Live In Concert.”
On July 10, Van Halen will expand their 2015 remastered reissues series with the release of four albums: 1979’s “Van Halen II”, 1980’s “Women And Children First”, 1981’s “Fair Warning” and 1982’s “Diver Down.”
Van Halen launched the series in March with the release of newly remastered versions of their groundbreaking 1978 debut and their 6th album, “1984.”
The project has been overseen by mastering engineer Chris Bellman, who remastered the original albums from the original quarter-inch tapes at Bernie Grundman Studios in Hollywood, CA.
