Van Halen performed their classic 1981 track, “Unchained”, on March 30 as part of 8-song greatest hits set on Hollywood Boulevard for ABC-TV’s Jimmy Kimmel Live.
The late night program has made video of the tune available as a web exclusive days after the event that saw the group launch their latest album, “Tokyo Dome Live In Concert.”
The second single from the band’s fourth album, “Fair Warning”, “Unchained” instantly became a concert staple and the fan favorite peaked at No. 13 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Tracks chart upon its release.
On Monday, the program aired footage of “Panama”, “Runnin’ With The Devil” and a portion of “Dance The Night Away”, and followed that up on Tuesday with video of the 1984 hit, “Hot For Teacher.”
Van Halen will launch a North American tour in support of the live album in Seattle on July 5.
