Jack White played the first date of his series of acoustic shows on Monday in Anchorage, Alaska.
White previously revealed his plan to perform a short acoustic tour of the only five states left in the U.S. that he has yet to play as he winds down his “Lazaretto” world tour before taking an extended break from live performances.
The Alaska Dispatch News reports 900 fans paid $3 each to see White’s first show in the state at the Wendy Williamson Auditorium at the University Of Alaska Anchorage.
The 14-song, 75-minute set mixed material from White’s solo career with a handful of White Stripes tunes
As billed, White and the band performed using four bidirectional ribbon microphones, providing the guitarist and his fellow musicians to shift the dynamics of the songs by stepping toward or away from the microphones.
White will play four mare acoustic shows, with each announced the day of the event via his social media sites.
