Van Halen have issued audio of their Roy Orbison cover “(Oh) Pretty Woman” as a preview to the upcoming release of “Tokyo Dome Live In Concert”, their first-ever live album with original frontman David Lee Roth.
The lead single from 1982’s “Diver Down” peaked at No. 12 on the US Billboard 100, delivering the second US Top 40 hit for the band following 1979’s “Dance The Night Away” from “Van Halen II.”
Van Halen have just announced dates for an extensive North American tour in support of the live album, which was recorded in Japan in 2013 on the band’s “A Different Kind Of Truth” tour.
The group will launch the March 31 release of “Tokyo Dome Live in Concert” with a special concert for ABC-TV’s Jimmy Kimmel Live March 30 on Hollywood Boulevard.
The band’s first U.S. television performance with original lead singer David Lee Roth will be recorded for broadcast over two nights - March 30 and March 31.
Van Halen are also scheduled to perform on the Ellen DeGeneres Show on April 2.
A deluxe collection featuring “Tokyo Dome Live In Concert” and newly remastered versions of their groundbreaking 1978 debut, “Van Halen”, and their 6th album, “1984”, will also be available as both a four-CD set and a six-LP vinyl set in special packaging.
