Eric Clapton will release a 3-disc collection, “Forever Man”, on April 28.
The 51-track set features material from 1989 forward, representing the guitarist’s years with Reprise Records.
The package features three discs with one focusing on studio tunes, a second with live performances and a third compiling blues material.
“Forever Man” will be available in multiple configurations, including a 3-CD, 2-CD, a vinyl 2-LP set and digital downloads.
The release coincides with an upcoming tour, which includes nine concert dates in celebration of Clapton’s 70th birthday on March 30. The shows will take place at New York's Madison Square Garden on May 1 and 2 and at London's Royal Albert Hall on May 14, 15, 17, 18, 20, 21, and 23.
The shows will feature Clapton, accompanied by his band members Paul Carrack, Steve Gadd, Nathan East, Chris Stainton, Sharon White, and Michelle John, with opening support act Andy Fairweather Low and the Low Riders.
