Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell hosted “An Evening With Jimmy Page” in Los Angeles in November and part 1 of their interview is now available.
The rare event saw the pair discuss the Led Zeppelin guitarist’s photographic autobiography, “Jimmy Page By Jimmy Page.”
In the first clip available from the session, Page discusses his early years and musical upbringing with host Cornell in front of a live audience at the Ace Hotel Theater on November 12.
The event followed the re-release of Page’s book, which sold-out of its limited-edition run of 2,500 copies upon its initial release in 2010 on its way to becoming the fastest-selling book in Genesis Publications' 40-year history.
Page and Led Zeppelin continue their extensive reissues series on Febuary 23 (Feb. 24 in North America) with an expanded reissue of their 1975 release, “Physical Graffiti.”
The band recently premiered an unreleased version of the track “Houses Of The Holy” from the project, which features Zeppelin standards “Kashmir”, “Trampled Under Foot” and “The Rover.”
The original release hit No. 1 on the US Billboard 200 on its way to selling more than 8 million copies in the States alone, while topping the band’s native UK album charts and reaching double platinum for sales of 600,00.
Led Zeppelin were named the No. 2 Rock News Artist Of The Year as part of the 5th annual hennemusic Rock News Awards.
