Heart performed the 1973 Paul McCartney and Wings classic, “Band On The Run”, on ABC-TVs Jimmy Kimmel Live on Monday.
The Seattle band recorded a version of the song as part of “The Art Of McCartney”, the recently-released collection featuring a variety of artists joining the former Beatle’s long time band to perform songs from the bassist’s legendary songwriting catalog.
Heart also contributed a second track to the project: a version of “Letting Go”, the single from Wings’ 1975 album, “Venus And Mars.”
Other guests include Def Leppard, Bob Dylan, Billy Joel, The Cure, Brian Wilson, Dr John, KISS, Chrissie Hynde and ELO’s Jeff Lynne.
