Alex and Eddie Van Halen have donated a signed guitar for an upcoming benefit supporting former KMET radio personality Pat "Paraquat" Kelley, who was diagnosed with Primary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis in 2003 and is now in the advanced stages of the illness.

The Van Halen News Desk reports the brothers visited Kelley, with Eddie playing his 1991 instrumental, “316”, on the acoustic guitar (audio below) before he and brother Alex signed the axe.

The guitar is one of many items being auctioned off to raise funds for the former radio personality at The Mighty Met Acoustic Flashback Honoring Paraquat Kelley, taking place at the Canyon Club in Agoura, California on Sunday, December 14.

The event will feature KMET alumni and music performances, including an appearance by George Thorogood.

Fans can also assist Kelly with his medical bills by making a donation via his GoFundMe page, which currently sits at $6,000 raised to date towards a goal of $50,000.
