Bruce Springsteen will be the featured guest on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart on Monday, November 10.
The rocker will be joined by illustrator Frank Caruso to promote the pairs’ newly-released children’s book, “Outlaw Pete.”
The project is based on Springsteen’s 2009 song of the same name about a bank-robbing baby whose exploits become a meditation on sin, fate, and free will.
Both the tune and the new book were inspired by the children’s book, “Brave Cowboy Bill” (Simon & Schuster, 1950), which Springsteen’s mother used to read to him as a child.
“Outlaw Pete is essentially the story of a man trying to outlive and outrun his sins,” he explains.
On November 17, the New Jersey rocker will release “The Album Collection Vol. 1 1973-1984”, a box set featuring remastered versions of his first seven albums.
Available on CD and vinyl, the set will include “Greetings From Asbury Park, NJ” (1973), “The Wild, The Innocent And The E Street Shuffle” (1973), “Born To Run” (1975), “Darkness On The Edge Of Town” (1978), ”The River” (1980), “Nebraska” (1982) and “Born In The U.S.A” (1984).
Five of the albums are making their first appearance on CD and all seven are making their remastered debut on vinyl.
