Motley Crue’s Vince Neil appears at Chicago charity event
Motley Crue singer Vince Neil made a special appearance at a charity event in the Chicago suburb of Tinley Park, Illinois on Thursday in advance of the band’s show there Friday evening.
The Southtown Star reports Neil’s visit at the city’s Bettenhausen Auto gave fans a chance to meet the rocker and have a photo taken with him, while raising funds for the Tinley Wish Organization, a nonprofit group that benefits families suffering financial or medical hardships.
Neil’s visit came together after Mike Bettenhausen got in contact with the band’s promoter about the chance to help the charity. Bettenhausen said they expected to raise about $10,000 via concessions, T-shirts and fans wanting items signed beyond the one free one to which they were entitled.
Event organizers expected up to 500 people to show for the meet and greet, with some travelling from as far away as Ohio to see the Motley Crue frontman.
