Anthrax have announced a pair of premiere screenings of their forthcoming concert DVD, “Chile On Hell.”
Due September 16, the thrash masters were filmed at the Teatro Caupolican in Santiago, Chile on May 10th, 2013, where they performed an extended set that featured songs from Anthrax's entire catalogue.
The day before its release, Anthrax will debut “Chile On Hell” at screenings in both New York and Los Angeles.
The New York premiere takes place September 15 at 9 PM at Cinema Village, 22 East 12th Street.
Access is available to fans who pre-order the DVD or Blu-ray at Vintage Vinyl in Fords, New Jersey. Each pre-order comes with one wristband (while supplies last), and each wristband lets one person into the event. In-person orders only, no mail orders.
The Los Angeles premiere happens at the Downtown Independent Theater on September 15 at 9PM.
Access is available to fans who pre-order the DVD or Blu-ray at Amoeba Music in Hollywood. Each pre-order comes with a wristband for the cinema event.
The Chili concert date was one of the final shows of a three-plus-year campaign to record and support “Worship Music” and the “Anthems” EP.
"We wanted to finish on a high note," said drumemr Charlie Benante, "we didn't want to look back and regret that we didn't record the live show."
“Chile On Hell” was produced by Jay Ruston, with cover art designed by Stephen Thompson – who partnered with Benante to redesign the artwork from last year's “Anthems” EP.
