Motley Crue wrote a new song, “All Bad Things Must End”, for their farewell tour and video of a performance of the forthcoming single at Summerfest in Milwaukee on July 4 has surfaced.
In May, drummer Tommy Lee revealed the tune will be released as part of a new greatest hits package that will surface in sync with the group’s final trek.
"It's pretty heavy, but it's really melodic,” Lee told Billboard. “It's definitely about this time right now with the band and what the feeling is and kind of all that wrapped into a song. I hate to say it's like a goodbye, but it definitely references our time here."
The forthcoming hits collection will be the band’s sixth such compilation, following 1991’s “Decade Of Decadence”, 1998’s “Greatest Hits”, 2003’s “The Millenium Collection: The Best Of Motley Crue”, 2005’s “Red, White And Crue” and 2009’s “Greatest Hits.”
Motley Crue last released new music in 2012, when they issued the single “Sex” to promote the band’s summer tour with KISS. The group’s last full album was 2008’s “Saints Of Los Angeles.”
After more than three decades together, Motley Crue kicked off their farewell tour this past week.
The two-year trak, billed as “The Final Tour”, sees the band on the road with special guest Alice Cooper.
