ESPN are sharing a bloopers video of outtakes from Metallica’s new commercial for SportsCenter.
The ad is based on the premise that the guys from Metallica don't have much to do since New York Yankees pitcher Mariano Rivera retired, so they offer their assistance to others at ESPN.
Last September, Metallica performed their 1991 classic “Enter Sandman” on Mariano Rivera Day at Yankee Stadium as the pitcher prepared to retire at the end of the 2013 season.
Rivera – known as The Sandman - entered the field from the bullpen to the Metallica classic since 1999.
“This one's for you Mariano,” yelled frontman James Hetfield as the band kicked into the song, with the singer and bassist Robert Trujillo sporting Yankees jerseys for the occasion. Metallica’s stage amps featured the band’s name in the classic Yankees logo font, along with the number 42 and “Sandman” visible on stage.

The band recently wrapped up their “By Request” European tour and will perform at Heavy Montreal on August 9.
