Stevie Nicks joins NBC’s The Voice as an advisor

Stevie Nicks will join NBC’s The Voice for Season 7 this fall as an advisor to Maroon 5 singer Adam Levine’s team.

"#TeamAdam it's time to welcome @StevieNicks to #TheVoice family!" tweeted the program this week.

Set to premiere on September 22, Nicks won’t be the only new face on the show: Pharrell Williams and No Doubt’s Gwen Stefani will debut as coaches as they take over spots filled last season by Usher and Shakira, and previously used by Cee Lo Green and Christina Aguilera.

Nicks will be busy this fall with a late September launch to a North America tour by Fleetwood Mac and the October release of a new collection of rare songs.

Fleetwood Mac recently announced the return of Christine McVie to the band for The On With The Show Tour, which sees the reunion of the group’s hugely successful mid-1970s lineup, which cranked out hit albums like 1975’s self-titled release, 1977’s “Rumours” and 1979’s “Tusk.”

Nick’s solo collection, tentatively titled "24 Karat Gold: Songs From the Vault", will feature lost and stray songs that she's written and recorded through the years, but never made it onto an album.

The selections for "24 Karat Gold" were all newly recorded in Nashville, and co-produced by Nicks, Dave Stewart and Waddy Wachtel.
