Judas Priest are sharing the story behind “Snakebite”, one of the tracks found on their new album, “Redeemer Of Souls.”
“Just a great live song,” says guitarist Glenn Tipton. “I think it will be fantastic to play it live. It’s a little bit like ‘You’ve Got Another Thing Coming…it’s got that sort of vibe going for it. But a great live track. It’s a track written for the audience and it does the job.”
Judas Priest recently scored the first US Top 10 of their career with “Redeemer Of Souls.”
The 17th release by the UK metal legends debuted at No. 6 on the US Billboard 200 with 33,000 copies sold; the band previously peaked at No 11 with 2008’s “Nostradamus.”
“Redeemer Of Souls” is available in a standard version and a deluxe edition with five bonus tracks.
The project marks guitarist Richie Faulkner's studio debut with the group; he replaced founding member K.K. Downing following his retirement in 2011.
Judas Priest will launch a North American tour October 1 in Rochester, New York; the 6-week run will wrap up November 22 in Tacoma, Washington.
