Jack White will throw out the ceremonial first pitch at the Detroit Tigers Major League Baseball home game at Detroit's Comerica Park on Tuesday, July 29.
White tweeted the news about the event, which will see the Tigers host the visiting Chicago White Sox.
The baseball appearance lands between two hometown shows for the Detroit native; he’ll play the Fox Theatre on Monday and the Masonic Temple Theatre on Wednesday.
White is currently playing shows on a US tour in support of his new album, “Lazaretto”, which recently delivered his second US No. 1 album.
The rocker topped the Billboard 200 album chart with opening week sales of 138,000 copies.
White previously debuted on top with his 2012 effort, “Blunderbuss.”
