Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi has posted a video message to fans on the eve of the band’s performance in London’s Hyde Park on July 4.
"Hello everybody. I wanna thank you for all your messages on Facebook. It's been great,” says Iommi. “We've had a laugh, and some of them have been really great and very supportive. Thanks so much. I am at home at the moment, about to leave for Hyde Park, which we'll play tomorrow (July 4), and I'm really looking forward to that.”
“The tour has been marvelous; we've had a great year, and you couldn't wish for better,” he added. “It's been phenomenal ,and you've been phenomenal. And thanks for coming to the shows and being supportive. Thank you very much and we'll see you on the next tour. Thank you very much."
The Hyde Park show sees Black Sabbath joined by a lineup that includes Soundgarden, Faith No More, Motorhead, Soulfly and Wolfmother, among others.
The London concert marks the final date of Black Sabbath’s world tour in support of their latest album, “13”.
