VIDEO: Soundgarden perform complete Superunknown album in New York

Soundgarden performed their 1994 album, “Superunknown”, from start-to-finish at New York’s Webster Hall Monday night, on the eve of the release of the 20th anniversary reissue of the record.

The event marked only the second time in the band’s career that they have played the complete album; the first was in Austin, Texas during SXSW in March.

Following the full album, Soundgarden encored with “Outshined” and “Rusty Cage.”

The “Superunknown” reissue is available in two versions: a 2-CD Deluxe Edition and a 5-CD Super Deluxe Edition – check out the tracklisting for the projects here.

A 2-LP gatefold of the original 16 vinyl tracks remastered on 200-gram vinyl in a gatefold jacket will also be made available.

The project features the Seattle band’s breakthrough release; propelled by the singles “Spoonman”, “Black Hole Sun”, “Fell On Black Days”, “My Wave” and “The Day I Tried To Live”, the album debuted at No. 1 in the US and went on to sell more than 9 million copies worldwide, including 5 million in the States alone.

Soundgarden launch a series of European dates in Istanbul, Turkey on June 6, and then team up with Nine Inch Nails for a summer tour of North America with shows starting July 19 in Las Vegas.
