Jack White officially launched his European tour at the UK’s Glastonbury Festival on Saturday, and video of his performance of the title track to his new album, “Lazaretto”, is available.
Second on a bill headlined by Metallica, White’s 16-song set featured a mixture of White Stripes tunes, solo tracks and cuts from his latest release.
White will now play a week-long series of dates across Europe before kicking off a US tour on July 19 in Louisville, Kentucky.
“Lazaretto” recently delivered White his second US No. 1 album.
The rocker topped the Billboard 200 album chart with opening week sales of 138,000 copies.
White previously debuted on top with his 2012 effort, “Blunderbuss.”
"Lazaretto" also set a new record for the largest sales week for a vinyl album since SoundScan began tracking sales in 1991.
The vinyl LP sold 40,000 copies to debut at No. 1 on Billboard's Vinyl Albums chart.
“Lazaretto” broke the vinyl sales record set by Pearl Jam's "Vitalogy," which moved 34,000 vinyl LPs in its first week back in 1994. Notably, "Vitalogy" was issued on vinyl first, two weeks before its release on CD and cassette.
