The 20th anniversary of Soundgarden’s "Superunknown" is featured on the latest episode of North American rock radio series In The Studio.
Singer Chris Cornell joins host Redbeard to talk about the album, which was just reissued as a special 20th anniversary release.
The 1994 album was the Seattle band’s breakthrough: propelled by the singles “Spoonman”, “Black Hole Sun”, “Fell On Black Days”, “My Wave” and “The Day I Tried To Live”, the album debuted at No. 1 in the US and went on to sell more than 9 million copies worldwide, including 5 million in the States alone.
The “Superunknown” reissue is available in two versions: a 2-CD Deluxe Edition and a 5-CD Super Deluxe Edition – check out the tracklisting for the projects here.
A 2-LP gatefold of the original 16 vinyl tracks remastered on 200-gram vinyl in a gatefold jacket will also be made available.
Soundgarden are currently playing shows across Europe; they’ll team up with Nine Inch Nails for a summer tour of North America with shows starting July 19 in Las Vegas.
