Megadeth working on new music

Megadeth bassist David Ellefson is sharing an update on the band’s latest activity in the studio as they work on some new music.

Dave [Mustaine] and I are in the studio this week in California working up some of the new riffs,” posted Ellefson. “We're having fun, just throwing it down and keeping it chill. These are essentially writing demos at this point so just grinding out the tunes like a metal band should. More to come....”

Drummer Shawn Drover recently shared news that he and Mustaine were working on demos, as well.

The band have been touring in support of their latest album, 2013’s “Super Collider.”

Last month, Megadeth cancelled their immediate live show schedule following the May 19th death of Ellefson’s brother, Eliot, who passed away in Minneapolis, Minnesota after battling cancer.

Megadeth’s next live date is set for the Amnesia Rockfest in Montebello, Quebec on June 20.
