Megadeth drummer Shawn Drover is sharing an update on the band’s latest activity in the studio.
“Spent this week in the studio with [guitarist] Dave [Mustaine] tracking demo "ideas" for the next record,” posted Drover. “Some really heavy riffs going on here and if I say it you know its true.”
The band have been touring in support of their latest album, 2013’s “Super Collider.”
Last month, Megadeth cancelled their immediate live show schedule following the May 19th death of bassist David Ellefson’s brother, Eliot, who passed away in Minneapolis, Minnesota after battling cancer.
Ellefson is taking a break to spend time with his family following their loss.
Megadeth’s next live date is set for the Amnesia Rockfest in Montebello, Quebec on June 20.
